I have been exploring the common things around me in vivid color for the past few years, but I feel now that it’s time to take a another look without vivid color and explore the world of monochrome and muted tones.
The form and textures of nature are endlessly fascinating, but so are the manufactured objects around us. They all have patterns of light and shadow, that without color distill the subject and remove the extraneous detail.
This exhibit contains images that explore the form and texture around me. Eggs always seem to creep in when I look around, they are so much a part of my life it is hard to ignore them. So many of the images here are images of eggs in some form.
